The Hayworth Theatre in Association with La Fonda on Wilshire Cultural Center present Rick Najera’s LATINOLOGUES TU (2) Award-winning Latino Showcase to Perform Every Saturday
LOS ANGELES - (July 16, 2008) - Rick Najera’s updated comedy showcase sensation, LATINOLOGUES TU (2) will make its new home in Los Angeles beginning Saturday August 16, 2008 at The Hayworth Theatre/ La Fonda Cultural Center on Wilshire for an indefinite run. Latinologues, written, created, directed and produced for stage by award-winning sketch comedy writer/actor Rick Najera, is a compilation of comedic and poignant monologues about life in America. “We are thrilled to be bringing such a well-know comedy production to our facility. We are really looking forward to working together,” says artistic director Gary Blumsack. The show will include new and original monologues written by Najera and will run indefinitely every Saturday night at 10:00 p.m. beginning August 16 at the Hayworth Theatre. Latinologues, which ran on Broadway in 2005, directed by Cheech Marin, is the only Latino showcase of its kind in America with a rotating cast.
